Young Women's Project & Young Women's Festival

In 2000, a NSW Department for Women-funded Action Research project found that young women from culturally diverse backgrounds needed increased access to services.

For a copy report and Social Action Kit, which has recommendations for services for how to increase participation of young women from diverse cultures to their services, contact St George Youth Services on 9556 1769, or email us.

Some of the materials from the Social Action Kit are also available at
our Worker's Resources Page.

Over the last 7 years, St George Young Women's Festival has also been running, a key aim being to access young women and connect them with local services. Every March, as part of International Women's Day celebrations, a Youth Leaders' committee organises this girl's only event.
